Introduction to fractions starts at the beginning.

We introduce what a fraction is and how it is written. We explain what halfs (1/2), thirds (1/3) and quarters (1/4) are. The exercises link the visual side of each fraction with their numbers.

We believe that it is important to recognise and be comfortable with both fraction numbers and how to represent these numbers as pictures.

The exercises can be one over and over again and we have found that a few minutes everyday can really help your child become a lot more comfortable with fractions. This app is aimed anyone starting to learn fractions.
